What Can I Do For You?

Andy Dow at a campaign event

Andrew "Andy" Dow Sr. has spent his entire life answering the call to serve. He joined the Marines at just 17, serving as an infantryman before becoming a federal technician working on tanks and fighting vehicles at the Concord Armory.

After officer training, he commanded a field artillery unit in Woodsville. When Hurricane Katrina struck, Dow served as the military liaison officer in the effort to rebuild New Orleans — working alongside FEMA, police, and the Red Cross to distribute food and provide security. He later served in Iraq during the surge, helping establish new procedures for detainee facilities in Baghdad, where mortar attacks injured his neck and ended his military career.

Retirement never slowed him down. Andy became a master in stained glass, earning recognition from the League of NH Craftsmen, and since 2018 has established and donated a political archive at New England College — preserving footage dating back to 2012 and recording events for students. For two years he has served on Farmington's planning board, tackling affordable housing head-on.

Most remarkably, Dow spearheaded — with town leadership and bipartisan legislative support — a proposal that reached the President's desk and secured $1.3 billion in federal funding for a full-service VA hospital right here in New Hampshire.

Where I Stand

Priorities for Farmington

The Best Education for Our Children

I will fight to reduce the property tax burden on Farmington families by pushing for adequate state funding of our local schools — without an income or sales tax. I'll cut wasteful administrative overhead and redirect those dollars into the classroom, while championing parental rights and full curriculum transparency so families can choose the path that's best for their children.

Roads & Infrastructure That Work

I'll push for state funding to fix Farmington's crumbling roads without raising property taxes on local families and businesses. I'll cut the bureaucratic delays that keep critical projects stuck in regulatory limbo while costs climb, and advocate for competitive bidding reforms so every taxpayer dollar delivers maximum value — protecting our no-income-tax advantage.

Housing Families Can Afford

I'll work to eliminate the zoning restrictions that artificially inflate housing costs and block affordable starter homes and senior housing. I'll champion property tax relief that helps seniors on fixed incomes stay in their homes, and advocate for incentives that encourage private developers to build workforce housing — no new taxes, no new government programs.

Hands-On Leadership

Determination That Gets Results

From rebuilding New Orleans to standing up detainee facilities in Baghdad, Andy Dow has spent his life solving hard problems where it matters most — on the ground, with his sleeves rolled up.

He brings that same determination to Concord: listening to every resident, working across the aisle, and making decisions based on what serves the whole town best. His proven ability to bring people together delivered a $1.3 billion VA hospital for New Hampshire — and he's ready to deliver for Farmington next.
